the natchez project is a gathering of a few artists in the studio of conner burns with the purpose of eliminating the normal distractions of life and studio work with the intention of providing space and time to create. the artists selected are all of exceptional quality and of diverse manners of working with clay. the artists spend the week working in the studio and then at the end of the week, an exhibit is held at the gallery of conner burns showing their current work and offering a glimpse into the week they have spent in natchez.

nceca is the national clay conference. the dolphin song is a gallery in southeast kansas. the dolphin song is sponsoring an exhibition of the work of cathy brooks, danny messenger, jed schlegel and conner burns. this is the second year the dolphin song has sponsored and exhibit - the first year the exhibit was well received. visit the exhibit to see an exceptional group of artists all working in clay but in a variety of manners - from figurative to functional and from monumental to intimate.
