workshop
metchosin international school of arts
metchosin, british columbia, canada
july 12-16, 2010
a week-long participation workshop at an incredible facility. each year 200 artists gather at metchosin (commonly referred to as missa) for a variety of art classes in an incredible facility that has great hiking on one side and water on the other.
the focus of the workshop is altering wheel thrown and slab vessels and creating 'sets'. a set is a grouping of vessels (often with a tray) in order to bring together a variety of individual vessels into one complete 'set'. the set can consist of any items - some that conner consistently creates include - cream and sugar, tea for one and vase sets.
