private lessons
Private lessons are a great way to learn a new skill, focus on improving a current skill, try something new or analyze your process. Private lessons are just as the name says - private. The lesson topic, the time in the studio with Conner - everything is focused upon you and you only. I have assisted many individuals with private lessons and it is amazing the speed at which new skills are learned and old skills are improved.
One hour of private lessons is as beneficial as many weeks of practice … One day of private lessons is worth many months of practice. Think about the concept and the benefits on just two thoughts below -
1 - Working alone in the studio is important and useful, but there are times when we all need someone else to ... watch what we are doing ... teach us a new skill ... help us get past a 'sticking point' ... see something from a different perspective ... learn something completely new ... or many other reasons.
2 - Group teaching environments have certain benefits - one of which is often cost. The cost is lower because you are sharing that teacher with a group of people. Regardless of how skilled that teacher is at clay or at teaching, sometimes that teacher is watching or helping another person and does not see the point or process where you would benefit most from assistance. How well can a teacher get to know you and your work in this environment?
Private lessons solve all those problems as well as others not listed. I will spend the time with you, watching you and helping you with the things that you would like assistance with. Before the lesson, we will talk and can:
1 - Decide on a topic or topics to focus on during the private lesson.
2 - Decide to have me watch your process and then make suggestions on what would be a logical next step - then you can decide what we will work on next.
3 - We can work with another format also, but regardless of what format or topic we choose - it is based on you and you only. It is not based on a group, it is not someone else's goal ... it is for you and what you would like. It is personal - it is a private lesson.
private lessons:
Just you and conner in his studio. You have conner's total attention; no distractions. The topic and focus is your choice.
the timeframe is flexible, we can schedule it hourly or longer. contact me for rates.

private 'group' lessons:
Two to hour individuals (that you choose) working with conner in his studio. The topic and focus is your choice.

private lessons in your studio:
I can come to you also. These lessons are held in your studio or location. The number of individuals that may participate is entirely up to you (it can be only you, a small group or a large group). The topic and focus is your choice. if this is combined with another event in your area, the expenses (travel, food, lodging, etc) could be decreased; so contact me if i am in your area about the possibilities.

The perfect time to schedule a private lesson is the date that you would like to have the lesson. Whatever works for you.
what else is going on in natchez?
Natchez is a wonderful town, with a great history. Do you like art galleries, food, cycling, kayaking, fishing, golfing, bird watching, architecture, theater, music, shopping, reading, relaxing or ... we have it in Natchez.
If you like architecture or natural beauty, we have it in abundance. A variety of architectural styles are represented in downtown Natchez. The natural environment boasts the Natchez Trace Parkway, the Natchez State Park and a variety of other state and national parks, lakes, rivers and more.
We have a variety of festivals - the Blues Festival, Pilgrimage, The Great Mississippi Balloon Race, The Natchez Literary Festival, The Natchez Music Festival, The Natchez Food Festival and the list goes on and on. Many of these festivals last a few days and others for an entire month.
Or maybe you just want to get away and relax in a nice bed and breakfast (Natchez has plenty) or nice hotel and walk downtown eating in great restaurants and visiting the downtown shops.
Natchez has something for everyone. I would enjoy having you in my studio and I am certain you would enjoy your time spent here.
